See you at the “Two Days of the Sea”

A one-week training camp with a large part of the team was held at Hotel Dory in Riccione.

Our own Andrea Casadei works at the hotel as a cycling guide, and is highly appreciated by all guests. While working, he also manages to train, although he claims to focus more on quantity than quality… That said, 500 km per week is no small feat for a C3 athlete. In fact, it’s worth noting that last year, with this very same “low quality,” he secured the Italian national title.

Every morning, we set off together, each athlete following their own training plan. The first few days were fantastic, perfect for training. The colors and spirit of the Romagna region did the rest.

After midweek, however, the weather took a turn for the worse, bringing cold temperatures, rain, and even snow. Despite this, the athletes continued to follow their scheduled training sessions without interruption.

One evening at the hotel was dedicated to a presentation for all the guests. We talked about the team, Paralympic cycling in general, and the classification system. It was a very engaging evening for an audience that was largely international, who warmly applauded these remarkable athletes.

The entire camp was coordinated by the tireless Liliana and Agnese Romelli, as precise and punctual as a Swiss watch.

The next event will be the “Due Giorni del Mare” in Marina di Massa.

See you soon!
